Third Core Element of Health

"And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth." "And God said [to man], Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat." "And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them ... Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things. But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat." Food is the third Element of our health.

There is more research with regard to food and diet and their effect on health and healing than many people give credit. Studies show that food has a large effect on sickness and on healing. The process of digestion through the gastrointestinal track, as well as the contents involved is included in how we are affected. The effect that food has on the pH of our blood and bodies is a high indicator of the quality of our health. How different foods are combined and eaten at different times will also have an effect on digestion as well as the nutrients absorbed and usable.

A plant based diet is key to good health and healing. Variety is key. A mix of raw and cooked foods are good with raw being in the majority. Also, having a variety of color in the food is effective for improving and encouraging good health and healing. Dark green foods are the most nutritious foods. Locally grown foods, grown in proper season, are the most effective foods because they experience the same climate and atmosphere as those eating them.

Rare and occasional meat consumption, as well as other animal products, is not sufficiently bad to cause sickness, especially during winter and famine. It is not until meat is indulged in too frequently that sickness and disease becomes most likely. Unnatural foods are stressors for the body. This includes processed foods, unnatural proportion of nutrients, and chemicals that do not appear in natural foods.
