Misunderstanding Baptism for Salvation Quote #4

This post is an explanation of the use of the fourth quote by Joseph Fielding Smith in my previous post, Misunderstanding Baptism for Salvation. To understand that post please first read, Understanding Baptism Line upon Line.

Will those who enter the terrestrial and telestial kingdoms have to have the ordinance of baptism? No! Baptism is the door into the celestial kingdom. The Lord made this clear to Nicodemus. We are not preaching a salvation for the inhabitants of the terrestrial or the telestial kingdoms. All of the ordinances of the gospel pertain to the celestial kingdom, and what the Lord will require by way of ordinances, if any, in the other kingdoms he has not revealed.
It seems to me to be so clear that the ordinances of the gospel are for those who are entitled to enter the Celestial Kingdom, based on obedience to the principles of the gospel, that there should be no question about it....
The First Presidency have said in answer to a similar question: "We know of no ordinances pertaining to the terrestrial or the telestial kingdom. All of the ordinances of the gospel are given for the salvation of men in the celestial kingdom and pertain unto that kingdom." (DS p.329-330, emphasis added)

This is the first quote that I have presented that shows that we are dealing with Joseph Fielding Smith's opinion. It also shows that what I have been describing in previous posts was not understood clearly throughout the church or by the first presidency. He does not cite the quote given so we do not know when or where it was given. This is how I would have worded the answer to the above question with his format:

Will those who enter the terrestrial and telestial kingdoms have to have the ordinance of baptism? Yes! Baptism is the door into the kingdom of God. The Lord made this clear to Nicodemus. We are preaching a salvation for the inhabitants of the kingdom of God which includes the terrestrial and the telestial kingdoms. All of the ordinances of the gospel pertain to the celestial kingdom, and many of them also apply to the lower kingdoms. What the Lord will require by way of ordinances, in the lower two kingdoms is not well understood in the church.

I would not have answered the rest of what he says. He essentially states that what makes sense to him is so logical that no one should question his opinion. I disagree. It seems to me to be contradictory of the revelations given throughout all scriptures.

I do agree that it is the goal of the church and should be the goal of every member to prepare ourselves to enter the highest level of the celestial kingdom. Neglecting the lower kingdoms to the point of ignoring them in this life can be beneficial as long as we master all of the laws of the kingdoms. It is my opinion that one trip to the temple for an endowment session would show that we do in fact know of ordinances pertaining to the lower kingdoms. I believe that all of the laws of the lower kingdoms also apply to the celestial kingdom. If this is true then many of the statements made with regard to the celestial kingdom are correct, even if they are misleading about the lower kingdoms. (Please see my disclaimer about this topic)
