The Process of Healing

Last week I created a new set of seven I call the process of healing. I created it after the process of repentance and the set I showed last week from the story of the Good Samaritan.

Process of Healing
Recognize
Awareness of injury
And went to him,
Regret
Swelling
and bound up his wounds,
Remove
Blood (nutrients)
pouring in oil
Report
White blood cells (disinfects)
and wine,
Restore
Platelets (scabbing)
and set him on his own beast,
Replace
Rebuild (scaring)
and brought him to an inn,
Remit
Function properly
and took care of him.

The process of healing is the body's ability to heal itself and the mechanisms in place to do so.
Whenever there is an injury to the body it is aware immediately. There are nerves throughout that communicate back to the brain what is wrong and takes immediate action.
Swelling is the bodies first response. There are fluids called interstitial fluid as well as any fluid present from the damaged cells that leaked out and mixed with the interstitial fluid. This swelling blocks intruders and causes pain so the body can be fully aware of the extent of the damage so it can act appropriately.
If the capillaries were not broken because of the damage they will likely rupture due to the swelling. This will provide the needed nutrients to the cells in the area to prevent them from swelling to the point of bursting.
The white blood cells come to attack the intruders which come whenever there is a wound as well as to clean out the damaged tissue particles. These help to disinfect the area and prevent further damage from outside influences.
The platelets restore structure to the damaged area and continue to prevent further structural damage to the area.
Once the area is under control then the rebuilding work must start. This is a long process which ends up replacing the tissue to the area. Even once the scar is present the body continues to rebuild the scar tissue to work as if there never was damage before.
Once the damaged tissue is healed it can then rest from the repairing work and get back to doing its job as part of the body.
